NRA Show’s 70+ Educational Sessions Includes Talk By Yum!’s Novak

As speeches go, it’s not just former President Bill Clinton’s keynote address that can draw your attention at next month’s National Restaurant Association Show in Chicago. There are more than 70 free educational sessions spanning current issues and topics—from correctional foodservice to the pros and cons of franchising to how to create world-class c-store foodservice, as well as discussions covering LED lighting, food labeling, tax issues, and the Food Modernization Act.

The sessions give show attendees a chance to rest their feet and expand their minds during the show. You can learn how to attract and retain more guests, stay ahead of sustainability issues, or improve profitability as the nation emerges from the economic downtown.

Among the speakers is David Novak, CEO of Yum! Brands. Novak, whose company employs more than 1.4 million people worldwide, will speak Monday, May 7, on the leadership program he has implemented at Yum!. The talk, based on his recent book, Taking People With You, covers the importance of empowering people personally and professionally—whether starting a new business, introducing a new product, or shifting a company’s direction.

Sessions are continually added to the May 5-8 show in Chicago. For the most up-to-date sessions and schedule, check back here periodically.
