Electrolux Taps Evans For Top North American Post

John Evans has been appointed head of Region 5 (North America) within the Electrolux Professional Commercial Organization. He previously held the position of v.p.- marketing and sales for Electrolux Professional North America.

Evans will be responsible for all foodservice activities within the North American market. He also will run Electrolux’s green wet-cleaning business unit, Lagoon.

Evans has more than two decades’ of experience in the foodservice and equipment industries; he originally served with Electrolux eight years ago. He rejoined the Charlotte, N.C., company eight months ago.

Electrolux also has announced the appointment of Shane Dans as director of sales in its newly created Food Retail Division. He will develop and implement strategic plans and build the Electrolux presence in the supermarket/food retail markets in the United States and Canada. Part of his job will focus on developing synergistic partnerships with foodservice equipment distributors that cater to the retail segment.
