Vollrath Acquires A Second Plastics Maker, Acryfab Inc.

The Vollrath Co. will be expanding its brand into acrylic dispensing, display and fabrication products with its latest acquisition, fellow Wisconsin manufacturer Acry Fab Inc. The Sun Prairie, Wis.-based company is Sheboygan-based Vollrath’s second acquisition of a plastics manufacturer in the last two years; it acquired Traex Co. in April 2011.

The Acry Fab product line includes Lid Saver lid dispensers; bakery cases and accessories; countertop, in-counter, and self-serve dispensers; and organizers and holders.  It also builds customized plastic items such as laboratory equipment, medical equipment accessories, and OEM parts.

“The acquisition of Acry Fab significantly increases our ability to deliver a full-service solution of high-quality products to the 19 foodservice market segments we now serve, particularly in the c-store, fast food and fast casual categories” said Vollrath Pres./CEO Paul Bartelt.

Vollrath expects to continue manufacturing acrylic products in Sun Prairie.
