Franke Appoints Tom Campion As President/CEO

Thomas Campion has taken the reins as president/CEO of Franke Foodservice Systems. Campion, who succeeds Hans Ott, has 27 years of experience with the Smyrna, Tenn., company; he’s served the last 16 years as president of the KES Americas business unit which provides equipment and services to leading restaurant chains.

Ott served as president and CEO for the past 20 of his 34 years with Franke. He’s been promoted to COO for the company’s parent, Franke Group of Aarburg, Switzerland; among his first assignments is heading a global initiative to foster operations excellence among all Franke divisions.

Derrick Richardson succeeds Campion at KES Americas. Richardson has been v.p.-operations since 2011; he joined the organization in ‘01 as v.p.-sales and marketing for Stainless Inc., a Franke subsidiary before transitioning to Franke and managing a number of strategic initiatives.

Franke also has restructured management of its key account business, and expanded the role of Timothy Honeck, executive v.p., to oversee all key account, new product introduction and program management initiatives. Honeck joined Franke in 2000. Bud Ward, a 10-year veteran of key accounts, will report to Honeck as the new v.p.-sales and marketing. He’ll provide management leadership for key account product development, direct sales and customer relationships for all Franke KES Americas activity.
