Tinsley Hands GMCW Reins To Ibrahim

GMCW announced a transition in its leadership team on August 7. Nestor Ibrahim has been elevated to CEO, succeeding Michael Tinsley, who recruited Ibrahim more than a year ago to assist him in the integration and consolidation of the business. Ibrahim has spent more than 25 years in the industry, most recently with The Middleby Corp. as president of its Southbend and Star Mfg. divisions.

“I have put together a solid management team, and a lot of the hard work associated with the integration of Grindmaster and Cecilware is behind us,” Tinsley said. “We have a robust new product pipeline and have introduced a number of new products into the marketplace, with more to follow. In addition to recruiting Nestor, I recruited a number of senior management from within the industry. It seemed like a natural point in the evolution of the business for me to seek other challenges.”

Paul Echausse, chairman of GMCW, stated: “I want to thank Mike for the terrific job that he has done over the past two years in positioning the company for continued success. Mike recruited a terrific team, whom we have worked with for the past two years. We wish Mike well as he pursues other opportunities.”

GMCW is headquartered in Louisville, Ky., and has locations Illinois and Thailand. The company is owned and managed by BNY Mezzanine Partners, L.P.
