FEDA Education Foundation Offers CFSP, ServSafe Scholarships

Just weeks away from its annual convention—March 26-30 at the Renaissance Esmeralda Resort & Spa in Indian Wells, Calif.—the Foodservice Equipment Distributors Association is reminding the industry of its commitment to professional education.

As part of its ongoing effort to help foodservice equipment dealers maintain and improve upon their professionalism and credentials, the FEDA Education Foundation plans to continue offering a limited number of scholarships for the Certified Foodservice Professional and ServSafe certifications.

Upon earning the CFSP or ServSafe certification in 2014, dealers are eligible to apply for FEDA Education Foundation scholarships. The CFSP scholarship will provide $200 while the ServSafe scholarship will provide $100 toward reimbursement of fees for certifications earned in 2014. Checks will be made out to the applicant’s employing organization, unless FEDA is notified by the firm’s president/owner to make the check out to the employee.

Questions can be answered by the FEDA office at 800/677-9605. FEDA members can access the scholarship applications by clicking on “FEDA Education Programs” in the Members Only section of the website.
