Hestan Commercial Makes West Coast Launch

Hestan Commercial debuted last month in Anaheim, Calif., opening its new state-of-the-art 70,000-sq.-ft. manufacturing plant.

The company’s “purpose-built” stainless cooking lines include freestanding ranges, island suites, countertop equipment, convection ovens, griddles, char broilers, French tops, hot tops, planchas, salamanders, cheesemelters, fryers, pasta cookers and refrigerated bases. Hestan Commercial partnered with Chef Thomas Keller, founder of The French Laundry and Per Se, to provide design input and serve as spokesman for the commercial line, slated to roll out in spring; the outdoor and residential collection will follow in 2016.

Hestan is a subsidiary of Meyer Corp., the largest cookware supplier in the U.S. and the second largest in the world. Its brands include Circulon, Anolon, Farberware, Ruffoni, SilverStone, BonJour and FineT by IQ Innovations. Founder Stanley Cheng helms the company as chairman and CEO.

“Stanley Cheng is an engineer in the truest sense of the word and to be able to work with someone with that level of knowledge and skill is an honor and an extraordinary opportunity,” Keller said.
