Lone Star Taps Top Executives

The board at Lone Star Restaurant Supply has appointed Darren Anderson as President and Chief Operating Officer. Anderson, who previously held the same posts at Dallas-based PrimeSource FoodService Equipment, will take over the reins to lead the strategic direction and positioning of the Austin, Texas, equipment and supplies dealer.

Steve Schaefer, previously Lone Star’s v.p./general manager, has been promoted to Executive V.P.-Operations. The veteran executive will oversee the daily operations of the Austin, Texas, dealer. “Steve Schaefer’s contributions to Lone Star span sales, logistics and distribution and have resulted in reduced landed costs and higher customer satisfaction,” Anderson said. Before joining Lone Star, Schaefer ran operations for various restaurant brands and operated his own concept in Austin.

Lone Star, which reported E&S sales of $18.9 million in 2014, also offers logistics services.
