India Gets Its First Carl’s Jr.

With August’s grand opening in Delhi, Carl’s Jr. became the third major U.S. burger chain to enter India. The California chain’s menu, customized for Indian palates and with an extensive vegetarian selection, will compete with Burger King and Wendy’s, both of which established a presence there earlier this year. Carl’s Jr. says it will open additional outlets in the Delhi area before moving to other regions and expects to launch a minimum of 100 restaurants in India over the next 10 years.
