FCSI-TA Debuts Student Competition

Foodservice Consultants Society Int’l.-The Americas is rolling out its first-ever student competition, offering foodservice, hospitality and culinary-arts students in North and South America the chance to win scholarships, network with industry professionals and learn about career opportunities.

Entrants in FCSI-TA’s competition will develop an innovative project related to the hotel business, hospitality or foodservice industry for a chance to win a $5,000 scholarship. Three finalists will be awarded scholarships and trips to Nashville for FCSI-TA’s April 14-16 Conference, where they will present their projects and attend the educational sessions and networking events.

Submissions—including a project outline and summary, business and marketing plans and strategic action plan—are due Jan. 8, 2016. Full details on the contest and submission requirements can be found on the Student Page of the FCSI website.

“FCSI-TA is eager to work with students in North and South America to provide an experience that will allow them to learn about all of the career opportunities within this exciting industry,” said association Chair Bill Taunton, FCSI.
