Fondue Chain Opens Third Restaurant In Mexico City

The expansion pot bubbles over for a top fondue chain. The Melting Pot Restaurants, which just opened its third restaurant in Mexico City, is now looking to expand across Mexico with at least five additional locations there.

The Tampa, Florida, chain is targeting cities such as Mexico City, Guadalajara, Puebla, Monterrey, Cancun and Los Cabos for future growth. The Melting Pot operates more than 125 restaurants across 35 U.S. states, Canada, Mexico, Southeast Asia, and the United Arab Emirates, and has more than 15 locations in development internationally. It’s also focused on expanding its international footprint in select markets across Brazil, Canada, China, India, Japan and South Korea. The chain will open its first restaurant in Saudi Arabia before the end of 2015, and has announced plans for its first outlets in Jakarta, Indonesia, and Dubai.
