Blendtec, Lancer Join Forces

Lancer Corp. and Blendtec have reached a strategic agreement to combine their global manufacturing, marketing and service capabilities.

Lancer manufactures and markets beverage dispensing systems. Orem, Utah-based Blendtec makes commercial blenders and dispensers for the foodservice industry as well as commercial-grade blenders and appliances for home use.

Under the terms of the agreement—called Blendtec Commercial by Lancer—San Antonio-based Lancer will market, sell and provide after-sale service and support for Blendtec’s commercial products and will begin manufacturing Blendtec’s commercial dispensing equipment.

The new partnership will launch on Jan. 1, 2016. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed. The two companies previously teamed up in 2013 to jointly produce an automated ice-beverage station.
