FEDA Education Foundation Awards 2016 UID Scholarships

Two dozen individuals have received scholarships from FEDA’s Education Foundation for the 2016 University of Innovative Distribution program, March 6-9 in Indianapolis. This year’s recipients are:

Casey Hamre and Ronald Santos, Ace Mart Restaurant Supply; Russ Pederson, Alcom; Jeffrey Pugh, Bargreen-Ellingson; Cecily Adams and Brian Knoll, Best Restaurant Equipment & Design; Colin Darcy, C&T Design and Equipment Co.; Breanne Petruik, Canadian Restaurant Supply; Brad DiRuzza and Stephen Mangin, Central Restaurant Products; Brian Richardson, Cook’s Direct; Ryan McPhail, Curtis Restaurant Equipment; Kyle Belcher, Dixie Store Fixtures & Sales Co.

Also heading to UID are Jake Jolley, Ford Hotel Supply; Pat Laird, J & V Restaurant Supply; Charles Bible and Travis Ferguson, Katom Restaurant Supply; Leigh Thompson, Mobile Fixture & Equipment Co.; Eric Schmitt, Rapids Foodservice Contract & Design; James Hersperger, TriMark SS Kemp; and Joseph Ellison, Jay Fischer, Kate Gusching and Brian Klopp, The Wasserstrom Co.

Although FEDA has awarded all of its scholarships, there are still UID slots available for dealers’ “rising star” employees to attend the program. FEDA’s role as a sponsoring association gives FEDA members a $1,000 savings (about 75% of UID costs) on registration fees.
