FHA2016 Hits A High Note

The most comprehensive trade event for Asia’s food and hospitality industry, Food&HotelAsia2016, closed April 15 after four busy days as a showcase for new and innovative products.

Billed as the chosen sourcing ground for many international buyers, FHA provided a platform for foodservice equipment, hotel amenities and software solutions. The April 12-15 tradeshow at the Singapore Expo gathered 72,000 attendees, including 45% from overseas.

FHA2016 proved a hub for launching new products, and creating leads and deals for exhibitors and participants.

The show’s International Conference included an ambitious agenda of topics, from destination investment opportunities to F&B design, hospitality technology, food manufacturing and bakery, and the challenges and issues impacting the food and hospitality businesses.

The FHA Culinary Challenge proved one of the show’s most exhilarating events, as a mix of both young and established chefs from around the world gather to compete in various challenges such as the Gourmet Team Challenge where Team Taiwan emerged winner.

The biennial show returns in 2018, spreading across two locations, Singapore Expo and Suntec Singapore. With the move, there is room for FHA to expand by at least 20% in size. The next edition of FHA will return April 24-27 April, 2018. More information is foodnhotelasia.com.
