Spring USA Sold By Fiskars

Fiskars has sold Spring USA, the suburban Chicago maker of buffet systems, cooking stations and heat lamps, to a Minneapolis private equity company. The new owner, ShoreView Industries, previously held a financial interest in G.E.T. Enterprises.

Spring USA had been owned by Fiskars since July 2015, when the Finnish company acquired the WWRD group of companies. Under the agreement, announced on September 13, Fiskars also will divest its European Ebertsankey plastics pottery business.

“Fiskars Group continuously simplifies structures and increases focus on selected businesses and brands. As part of this strategy, the company has agreed to sell these two businesses, further strengthening Fiskars’ position to continue to focus on world leading consumer brands, including Fiskars, Iittala, Gerber, Royal Copenhagen, Waterford, and Wedgwood,” said Fiskars President and CEO Kari Kauniskangas.

Fiskars, established in 1649 as an ironworks in a small Finnish village, is comprised of globally recognized brands including Fiskars, Iittala, Gerber, Royal Copenhagen, Wedgwood, and Waterford.
