FCSI-THE AMERICAS NAMES EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

The Americas Division of the Foodservice Consultants Society Int’l. has named Wade Koehler as executive director. The U.S. division’s leadership unanimously approved 520 Consulting Inc., owned and operated by Koehler, to establish the association’s new America’s Division headquarters in Illinois. The division’s board also approved an agreement with Legge Executive Group to provide it with non-management ancillary services, which will include providing member services and maintaining FCSI’s Web site; those staffers are based in Rockwood, Ontario. Using the two companies lowers operating costs by allowing FCSI to retain knowledgeable personnel and enable support of ongoing programs, Division Chairman Ed Norman, FCSI, noted in a memorandum to the members announcing the appointment. Clearly defined responsibilities of the 520 and LEG contracts are being worked on at this time.

Koehler told FER, "I am honored to have been selected as the new FCSI-The Americas Division executive director. I look forward to advancing member services and establishing new connections with our allied and client based associations in the foodservice industry."

The appointments provide clear separation and autonomy between FCSI’s World-Wide and The America’s Division, while allowing the divisions to share services.
