Sysco Acquires Doerle, Louisiana Broadliner

Houston-based Sysco Corp. has acquired Doerle Food Services in Broussard, La., a family-owned broadliner with $250 million in annual sales in six states. The purchase price was not disclosed. Doerle’s, founded in 1950 as a local produce distributor, has a customer base spanning all of Louisiana, much of east Texas and parts of Oklahoma, Arkansas, Mississippi and Alabama. Sysco said it expects to retain the executive management team of Doerle's foodservice distribution business. Sysco, which operates 300 distribution facilities worldwide, had sales of more than $55 billion in fiscal 2017.
