Penn Jersey Buys Mid-Atlantic Dealer

In its fifth acquisition in the last decade, Penn Jersey Paper Co. has acquired DePalo’s Mid-Atlantic Restaurant Supply, the Baltimore-based family-owned and -operated dealership.

DePalo’s, founded in 1978, sells foodservice equipment and supplies, janitorial, chemical, and paper products in Delaware; Maryland; southern Pennsylvania; Washington, D.C.; and northern Virginia.

Philadelphia-based Penn Jersey Paper will operate out of DePalo’s distribution center in Maryland, giving the company its third distribution center in the Mid-Atlantic region.

“The acquisition of DePalo’s is an opportunity for us to strengthen our position as the region’s leading distributor of foodservice supplies,” states PJP President/COO Tom Furia Jr. “DePalo’s family culture and reputation for customer service aligns well with our own. We are excited about further extending our reach into the Mid-Atlantic region, and being able to serve even more customers in the Maryland area.”
