Meeting 2018 EPA Significant New Alternatives Policy is a SNAP with Master-Bilt’s redesigned refrigeration systems, including the M-Series condensing units and the E-Series evaporator coils, which now operate with eco-friendly R448A/R449A refrigerant. These interchangeable HFO-blended refrigerants can be used across several model types and provided Master-Bilt with additional remodeling opportunities. According to Lynn Burge, Advertising & Promotions Manager, Standex Refrigerated Solutions Group, several design enhancements were incorporated to increase efficiency and versatility. “The switch to more efficient and reliable compliant scroll compressors was made on many models,” says Burge. “In fact, all low-temp units are now standard with scroll compressors. Medium-temp models are available in both hermetic and scroll, depending on the hp rating.” Burge adds that the use of scroll compressors means fewer moving parts, which results in longer operating life and increased reliability for the units. Refrigerants and compressors weren’t the only features to get a redesign. “Many popular options are now set up as standard system configurations, such as Master Controller Reverse Cycle Defrost and evaporator pre-assembly, for ease of ordering,” says Burge. He also notes that the offering of evaporator coils now includes new low-profile models designed for easy serviceability and maximum efficiency. Lastly, Master-Bilt has streamlined its equipment list to better serve its clientele.

WATER YOUR WAY
Natura D4/Aquarius 1.80 system dispenses chilled sparkling or still water as well as room temperature still water. It’s ideal for expediting water service and for self-serve environments. The system boosts productivity for wait staff, reduces engagement for bar staff in water dispensing, and frees space in refrigerators because there’s no longer a need to pre-fill and chill water decanters. The system’s 3-step filtration process eliminates impurities. Place the polished stainless cabinet on a countertop or mount it below and access it with 3 separate taps.
Keep condiments organized and at the ready with the CDR-5. Built of 18-ga. stainless, this countertop, portable condiment holder accommodates up to 5 1/3-size pans (not included) and measures 363/4-in.W x 135/16-in.D x 16-in.H. Tubular legs sport plastic caps at the base.
ROTISSERIE RACK ROCKS
Rotisseries produce perfectly cooked proteins in big volumes, but getting product to and from the oven can be tricky. Winholt has developed an aluminum rack that can hold 6 standard 18-in. x 26-in. trays, and each tray can carry 6 stacked spickets. At the bottom, a stainless drip pan captures any spillage in the prep area and in transit, ensuring a sanitary environment. Each rack is equipped with 5-in. polyurethane casters that swivel and lock making the unit mobile and easy to maneuver. This rack helps keep rotisserie-department operation clutter-free, clean and efficient. Ask for model AL-1806BP/ XB/5PU/DP.
BRICKS THAT STICK
BMW (Building Magnetic Wonders) display bricks have a strong magnetic power on 1 side that allows them to attach together for buffet presentations of up to 3 horizontal or vertical levels of trays, platters and shelves. The bricks sport a heavy satin stainless finish and measure 9-in.W x 4-in.D x 23/4-in.H.
WIDE OVEN WORKHORSE
The WOW!2 Series conveyor ovens now includes the PS638G model with a 38-in. baking chamber suitable for smaller-volume restaurants. Hatco’s Drop-in Modular/Ganged Dry Slim Wells use convected heat to keep everything from meats to veggies to sauces and other hot foods at a steady holding temperature. Uniform airflow consistently surrounds each food pan for efficient heat transfer. These full-size, insulated dry wells come in 2- to 4-ganged units.
GREASE BE GONE
The grease from rotisserie chicken accumulates almost as fast as the profits, but disposing of the mess now is easy with the Low-Profile Transport Caddy, which slides under a rotisserie oven to collect up to 75 lb. of grease. When the stainless caddy is full, employees roll it to the containment tank and safely pump it clear through the attached hose. The caddy needs just 8.-in. clearance (or lower in custom models) and includes a safety lid hatch and a breakaway power cord.
