Prolon/New ThermoServ has developed Micropure dinnerware—an alternative to melamine— that is as durable and versatile as it is attractive. Use the dinnerware for broiling, baking or roasting. “To be able to go straight from prep, to the oven, to the customer’s table all on the same dinnerware or serving dish not only simplifies the process for the kitchen staff but helps restaurants and cafeterias offer faster service and freshly prepared dishes to their guests,” says Dana Dowdy, V.P. of Marketing at New ThermoServ. “Micropure is a unique plastic composite material that offers scratch resistance, durability, strength and versatility similar to melamine but with the added benefit of being high-temp friendly.” Suitable for use in microwaves as well as conventional and convection ovens up to 400°F, the dishes can even go into the freezer, and then of course the dishwasher.
