ABC Delivers Awards to Suppliers, Sales Executives

Cal-Mil, American Metalcraft and other suppliers took home top awards during the buying group’s fall conference.

Allied Buying Corp. recognized extraordinary contributions to the group with its annual Supplier of the Year Awards during its fall conference in Rosemont, Ill.

ABC and its dealers ranked the suppliers in the areas of sales growth, market penetration and profitability as well as the quality of their people (sales managers, manufacturers’ reps, customer service), products and service levels.

Highlights include the following:

  • The Tom Wilhelm Distinguished Supplier of the Year Award, given to the top overall supplier, went to Cal-Mil.
  • Jim Monnat of G.E.T. won the Supplier Sales Executive of the Year Award and runner-up was Jennifer Seisdedos of American Metalcraft.
  • The winner of the Outstanding Sales Team of the Year Award was American Metalcraft.
  • Vollrath was the supplier of the year in the smallwares category and Cambro Mfg. was runner-up.
  • In the tabletop category, G.E.T. was the supplier of the year while Arc Cardinal was runner-up.
  • American Metalcraft was the supplier of the year in the table service/buffet category and Service Ideas was runner-up.
  • As for the light equipment and furnishings category, Waring earned the supplier of the year nod and Robot Coupe was runner-up.
  • Amerikooler took home the supplier of the year honor in the heavy equipment category and runner-up was New Age Industrial.
