CFS Brands Acquires European Smallwares Company

The addition of the Spain-based company adds a wide variety of product solutions to its offerings.

CFS Brands has added Araven Hospitality-Foodservice, a supplier of smallwares and supplies to the foodservice industry, to its portfolio.

In a July 29 announcement, CFS describes Araven as a leading brand in the European market, with its headquarters and primary distribution center in Zaragoza, Spain. It produces a variety of product solutions for food preservation and storage, serving, displayware, catering, transport, and cleaning.

“While their products are sold around the globe, Araven is a clear leader in the European foodservice market and has established an incredible reputation within the hospitality industry and with culinary professionals,” says Trent Freiberg, CEO of CFS, in a statement. “The acquisition of Araven Hospitality-Foodservice further enhances our unique value to our customers by providing the largest breadth and depth of high quality and innovative products.”

Araven will operate as stand-alone entity within CFS. Based in Oklahoma City, Okla., CFS operates the brands Carlisle Foodservice Products, Dinex, San Jamar, G.E.T, Winco, AyrKing, El Castor, Jofel, Piper, Sparta, WipesPlus, Elite Global Solutions, Snap Drape, and Marko globally.
