Edward Don & Company has promoted Shannon Tallon to vice president of merchandising.

Tallon joined Don in 2005 as a merchandiser. Over the past 20 years, she has advanced through merchandising and product management roles including associate product manager, product manager, category manager, corporate category manager and director.

“Throughout her career at DON, Shannon has supported or managed nearly every category within the DON portfolio—giving her a uniquely comprehensive perspective on our business,” the company states in the release.

Prior to joining Don, Tallon held roles in marketing analytics with Fort Dearborn Co. and category management with WW Grainger.

As vice president of merchandising, Tallon will focus on optimizing Don’s merchandising team to drive sales growth and operational efficiency, maximizing supplier programs to strengthen volume and profitability, and managing the equipment and supplies category for Sysco, supporting key initiatives including Sysco-to-Go and Sysco SHOP.
