In Memoriam: Paul Gustafson, of Ace Mart Restaurant Supply

Paul Gustafson, 70, passed away Feb. 4 in San Antonio.

Gustafson spent 50 years in the foodservice industry and served as president of Ace Mart Restaurant Supply for many of them. The dealership was a family business he nurtured alongside his father, Norman, his sister, Norma, and his brother, Carl. In 2021, Gustafson passed the company to his sons, Jonathan, Cody and Grant, and his daughter, Stephanie. Gustafson was a winner of the FER 2015 Industry Service Award-Dealer.

Gustafson also was an active supporter and coach for the Special Olympics for over 25 years.

Along with the four children, Gustafson is survived by his wife, Judie, and six grandchildren. A celebration of life will take place at Community Bible Church in San Antonio on Feb. 16. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Reaching Maximum Independence or to Safire Recreation Center, both in San Antonio.
