When entrepreneurs Tosh Berman and Mikey Tanha formed the hospitality group Noble 33 in August, they pledged to develop new, high-energy concepts with a focus on social dining. Now, they’re launching their first new brand in that category, Sparrow.

The “experiential” Italian eatery is located in Hotel Figueroa in downtown Los Angeles and is located next to the hotel’s “iconic” coffin-shaped pool. Doors can be opened to the pool deck and outdoor dining, and interior design elements include a 1920s limestone fireplace, cathedral-like arched entryways and Mediterranean-inspired features.

“Our intention behind Sparrow was to create an environment where guests feel transported to coastal Europe through charming design and a diverse menu that tells a story,” says Berman in a press release. “The coastal Italian and Mediterranean regions are some of our favorite travel destinations, so the opportunity to bring that cuisine and culture to our community is very fulfilling for us.”

Sparrow’s menu will consist of pasta, pizzas and other wood-fired creations.

The concept joins Noble 33’s portfolio that includes Toca Madera West Hollywood, Toca Madera Scottsdale and the soon-to-open Toca Madera Las Vegas and Casa Madera West Hollywood.
