Strata Group Purchasing Organization has appointed John Perruccio as CEO, effective June 23.

Perruccio brings to the role over three decades of experience and a proven track record of leadership and success. He most recently served as Middleby Group President, responsible for buying groups, dealer relations and strategic channel development. Perruccio joined Middleby in 2003 and has led companies such as Southbend, Star, Toastmaster and Crown. Previously, he held leadership positions with Bon Chef, Spring USA and Rykoff-Sexton.

“I am extremely excited to partner with John as Strata continues to move forward to new heights,” says Andrew Meyer, CFO of Strata GPO. “His reputation in the industry will further elevate Strata and the collective. With our rebranding behind us, this new chapter will be primarily focused on delivering more value to our members through increased profits and innovated technology solutions.”

Meanwhile, in a Middleby announcement, CEO Tim FitzGerald says, “While I’m sad to see John step away from Middleby, I am excited for his new chapter. I know Strata will have the very best executive to lead their organization and I am glad we will continue to work closely together, as Strata is one of our long-standing industry partners.”

Strata GPO, of Denver, in April announced the passing of Mike Jewett, who had served the group as CEO since 2022. Meyer stepped in as interim CEO.
