Toppers Pizza Tops Up Development Team

Wisconsin-based Toppers Pizza has hired industry veteran James McFeeters as vice president of development as the brand looks to double down on franchise growth in 2023.

McFeeters joins the over 70-unit pizza chain with experience leading franchise development for multi-concept restaurant companies. He most recently served as vice president of development and franchise sales at WOWorks. Before that role, he spent over five years as senior director of franchise sales at Focus Brands.

Toppers Pizza has been heavily focused on corporate development in recent years, says the chain, which was founded in 1991. With McFeeters on board, he will begin building franchise development more strategically.

Toppers Pizza expects to have three new stores open by the end of this year and more than double that next year.
