ABC HONORS TOP SUPPLIERS, EXECS

During its recent fall conference, Allied Buying Corp. honored its top suppliers and recognized the support of three longtime industry professionals upon their retirements. In determining the Supplier of the Year honorees, ABC dealers focused on quality in the areas of the companies’ people, products and service level, accuracy, warranty, return policies, general enthusiasm and support of the group.  

ABC’s Suppliers of the Year for 2011 are:

•  Light Equipment & Furnishings: Cadco Ltd.

           Runner Up: Nemco Food Equipment

•  Heavy Equipment: Continental Refrigerator

            Runner Up: InterMetro Industries

•   Supplies: The Vollrath Co.

            Runners Up: Apex Mat & Matting, Dexter Russell

•   Tabletop : Diversified Ceramics

             Runner Up:  Libbey Cos. (Libbey/Syracuse/Traex/World Tableware)

Lee Ann Kelly, v.p.-sales for American Metalcraft was selected to receive the “Supplier Sales Executive of the Year” award.   The selection was based on excellence in the areas of professionalism, knowledge of product line, problem solving ability, and timely response to customer needs. She was presented with a bronze lion as a symbol of her dominance in the industry jungle.

Also honored upon their retirement for many years of friendship and support of Lombard, Ill-based ABC: Glenn Davis, president-Tablecraft Products; John Meier, president- Libbey Cos.; Don Brandt, merchandise manager, Hubert Co.
