NAFEM Introduces On-Line CFSP Overview Course

The North American Association of Food Equipment Manufacturers has introduced a new online Certified Foodservice Professional overview course. It’s based on the existing 20-chapter textbook, An Introduction to the Foodservice Industry, and features 14 hours of content.

“Purchasing the module allows applicants to prepare for the CFSP exam at their own pace, from the comfort of their home or office,” said Deirdre Flynn, CFSP, NAFEM’s executive vice president. “It is especially beneficial for those individuals who prefer a visual learning experience.”

The CFSP credential, established in 1987, is globally recognized as the top industry certification for foodservice professionals. The CFSP program enables organizations to compete more effectively by providing a knowledgeable, better qualified and more motivated team. There are more than 1,300 individuals in the foodservice industry who have achieved the designation.

The CFSP exam is the final step in certification.  Prospects have one year from the time they file a completed CFSP application to take the exam.

An introductory $100 discount is offered on the on-line overview course until April 13, making the module available for $495. After April 13, the price will be $595. To order the module or see a preview, click here.

NAFEM is a trade association of more than 550 foodservice equipment and supplies manufacturers providing products for food preparation, cooking, storage and table service.
