Newton, Mass.-based Boston Showcase Co. named its first CEO and a new president as the foodservice equipment and supplies dealership establishes its fourth generation of family leadership.

Cousins Andy Starr and Matt Starr have been appointed to the roles, with Andy serving as CEO. He will primarily focus on inside and outside sales, finance and accounting and smallwares operations. Matt will become the fifth president of the 109-year-old company, concentrating on business development, project management, equipment layout and design services and equipment operations.

Brothers Alan Starr and Jack Starr, current president and vice president, respectively, will assume the role of owner as they continue to remain active in the business.

“Nothing makes Jack and I happier than to begin the transition of handing over the business to our children,” says Alan in a press release. “We were fortunate to inherit the business from our father and have been amazed by the work that Matt and Andy have put in for the past 15 years to get to this point.”

Founded in 1913, Boston Showcase maintains a 48,000-square-foot showroom and warehouse in Newton Highlands and a 25,000-square-foot equipment warehouse in Brockton, Mass.
