Cookie Plug, a dessert chain that became the first collaboration for Roll-Em-Up Taquitos’ franchise development company Bomb AF Brands, has hired Spencer Sabatasso as VP of franchise development.

Sabatasso joins the emerging chain as it aims to sign 300 franchise units by the end of 2022. The brand, which combines graffiti, street art and hip-hop culture to put a twist on cookies, currently has 23 corporate locations, two franchise locations and 98 franchise units in development.

Sabatasso brings nearly three decades of experience in the franchise and restaurant industry, most recently serving as director of franchise development for franchise development and consulting firm Fransmart. He’s also held executive positions with Baja Sharkeez, Fatburger and Sweetwater Prime Seafood.

“The demand for Cookie Plug is growing across the country, but the expansion is organic and not something we force,” says Cookie Plug CEO Chris Wyland in a press release. “We are building out our team with qualified leaders such as Spencer. He brings both the market knowledge and industry connections to ensure Cookie Plug franchisees are well taken care of.”

Cookie Plug was founded in 2019 and offers 17 daily cookie flavors.
