Bertalot spent 25 years with PRNW, serving MAFSI Region 25, until his retirement, according to a PRNW social media post. He started his foodservice career in 1978 at Boxer NW. In 2000, he joined PRNW as outside sales for Oregon and Idaho territories.

Bertalot was admired by many, including manufacturers, reps and dealers alike, MAFSI states in an announcement. His expertise in equipment made him the go-to person and he was a “phone guy,” always calling to check in. He also was deeply devoted to his family and often spoke of his sons and their families, his mother, his partner Gwen, and his beloved pug, Maggie.

“More than anything, Tim had a heart of gold. He remembered the details that mattered, your kids’ names, your weekend plans, your stories, and he made sure you knew you were appreciated,” MAFSI states. “Though he faced more than his fair share of challenges in life, his perseverance remains an inspiration to us all.”

To share a memory, story or message about Bertalot, contact Janel Rupp at janelr@prnw.com. She’s gathering reflections to honor his life and legacy, and to share them with his family.
