FEDA’s Profit Survey Due August 1

Financial benchmarking, a guidepost in making strategic and tactical decisions to maintain and grow a healthy business, gets a boost with FEDA’s Profit Survey. The survey—recently sent to FEDA dealers and due back to FEDA by August 1—provides the most comprehensive and beneficial source of financial benchmarks in the foodservice equipment and supply industry, according to Mason Greene, President of Hotel & Restaurant Supply and FEDA V.P.

“Participating in the FEDA Profit Survey is valuable to us. The Performance Analysis Report we receive has an abundance of helpful charts, scorecards, and models that analyzes and compares the data we submit with other dealers. I like that it also shows your performance compared to a typical FEDA distributor, typical equipment distributor, high profit equipment distributor, and equipment distributors of similar size,” she says, adding, “I believe it is important to participate each year so the data will be more reliable and it enables us to track our progress in relation to the rest of the industry.”

This valuable information, including confidential direct comparisons between firms, is available only to firms that participate in the study. Questionnaires were recently mailed and emailed to key contacts at FEDA, but association members can also access the Profit Survey Questionnaire in the Member’s Only section under Surveys.
