Chris Salatino has been appointed as the new president of Belshaw, effective immediately.

He will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Belshaw Adamatic Bakery Group, which includes the Belshaw and Adamatic brands. Salatino steps into the role after the recent departure of Stan Dettloff.

Salatino is a well-respected figure within Ali Group and Welbilt, notes the company release, having begun his foodservice career in 1996 as a product engineer for Scotsman Ice Systems. He also has worked as an equipment engineering manager for PepsiCo from 2000-2004 and for McDonald’s Corp. from 2004-2007. Salatino then held various leadership positions at Sears Holdings Corp. In 2013, he rejoined Scotsman as its vice president of engineering.

Belshaw, which merged with Adamatic in 2007, has served the baking industry for over 100 years and is a supplier of doughnut fryers, doughnut production equipment, bakery ovens and bread makeup lines. The company provides equipment for retail and wholesale bakeries, quick-service restaurants, supermarkets, concession operators and more.
